Island Transit is the public transportation provider for the City of Galveston, transportation service is provided within the city limits of Galveston and on Galveston Island. Currently, Island Transits operated Fixed Route services, ADA Complementary Paratransit Services, a Seawall Tourist Route and a Street Rail Trolley Service. Fixed Route and ADA Services are federally funded and operate Monday through Saturday with the ADA Service contracted through Harris County Rides. The Seawall Tourist Route and the Street Rail Trolley services are funded through HOT Tax and will have different service hours during the peak season and the off season.
